Alon Barda

Alon Barda brings a rare blend of experience and perspective to his work at Preszler Injury Lawyers, where he has practiced since July 2023. For more than ten years before joining the firm, he was a partner at a prominent Toronto insurance defence firm, acting for insurers in complex personal injury and accident benefits disputes. Called to the Ontario bar in 2012, he now uses that background exclusively in support of injured plaintiffs, turning his understanding of defence strategies into a meaningful advantage for his clients.

Alon’s practice includes serious motor vehicle and statutory accident benefits claims, with particular experience in catastrophic injury files. He has also handled cases involving negligence, waivers, and other complex liability issues. He has appeared at every level of court in Ontario, argued numerous matters before the Licence Appeal Tribunal and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal, and served as lead counsel in a landmark 26-week personal injury trial. Clients and colleagues regard him as a tenacious, detail-oriented advocate who is unafraid of challenging files.

In addition to his courtroom work, Alon is a widely published legal author, contributing commentary and case analysis across various legal publications. Outside the office, life is full with his five children, who ensure there is rarely a quiet moment.
