
Dairn Owen Shane
Dairn Owen Shane is a senior litigation lawyer with Preszler Injury Lawyers whose career has been defined by complex, high-stakes personal injury and insurance disputes. Born and raised in Ontario, he completed a Psychology degree at McMaster University before moving to British Columbia in 1992 to study law at the University of British Columbia. He has practiced there ever since being called to the bar in 1994.
Over the course of his career, Dairn has resolved more than two thousand claims and conducted approximately one hundred trials. His advocacy experience extends to the Supreme Court of Canada, including matters involving judicial discretion and the evidentiary standard for psychiatric injuries at trial. With his depth of experience, he is trusted to manage the most complex files from initial assessment through to appeal, maintaining a consistent focus on securing fair and meaningful compensation for his clients.
Dairn is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia. He is also a published author in both academic and practical legal contexts, including over a decade as a legal writer for Canada Law Book.
