Daniel Bassili
At Preszler Injury Lawyers, Daniel Bassili focuses his practice on helping those harmed by sexual abuse, serious personal injuries, and denials of long-term disability benefits. He approaches each case with careful preparation and a clear-eyed understanding of how institutional defendants operate.
Daniel completed his law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2012 and was called to the Ontario bar in 2013. For the first ten years of his career, he worked at a leading insurance defence firm in downtown Toronto, defending complex claims against major corporations, public school boards, the Government of Ontario, and in professional negligence matters involving lawyers, teachers, engineers, and healthcare professionals. That experience now informs his advocacy for plaintiffs, allowing him to anticipate defence strategies and guide families through the civil litigation process with confidence.
Fluent in English and French, Daniel has successfully represented clients in both languages and has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time near the water.
