David Lavoie

David Lavoie brings more than 25 years of focused experience in personal injury and insurance disputes. As a senior lawyer, he is known for clear strategy and steady advocacy, having led numerous trials, mediations, and intricate negotiations on behalf of injured people and those who have been denied benefits. He has also worked as a mediator, helping lawyers on both sides resolve complex injury cases.

David aims to obtain fair, timely resolutions. However, if a just outcome isn’t on offer, he’s fully prepared to proceed to trial for his clients.

Educated at the University of British Columbia, David earned both his undergraduate and law degrees there. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1993 and is a member of the Alberta Bar, too. His earlier experience representing insurers gives him uncommon insight into how claims are evaluated and defended, insight he now uses to advance his clients’ interests.

When he’s not working, David spends time with his rescue dog, Leo, and the rest of his family.
