Julie Kern
Julie Kern is a plaintiff-side personal injury lawyer who combines clear communication, careful preparation, and genuine empathy in her work with clients. Since joining Preszler Injury Lawyers in 2018, she has focused on guiding people through some of the most challenging periods of their lives–helping them understand their rights, navigate the legal process with confidence, and pursue fair compensation.
Julie’s style is hands-on and education-focused. She takes time to explain concepts in practical terms, demystifying procedures and options so clients can make informed decisions at each step. Her background in the film and theatre industry has sharpened her courtroom presence and adaptability, skills she now applies to negotiations, mediations, and contested hearings.
She earned her LL.B. (Hons.) from Kingston University London in 2011, where she served on the University Law Association executive, acted as Student Liaison to the Law School Executive Board, and was selected to represent the university at the International Mediation Competition.
Julie has represented clients before the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, and before administrative bodies, including the Licence Appeal Tribunal and the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario.
Outside her injury practice, Julie is committed to environmental causes. She serves on the Executive Board of Prime Earth, a non-profit dedicated to sustainability and environmental education.
