Kalin Stoykov

Kal Stoykov brings a rare combination of defence-side insight and survivor-focused advocacy to his work in personal injury law. He began his legal career acting in insurance defence litigation for Ontario’s largest insurer, an experience that now helps him anticipate and respond to the strategies used by defendants and their insurers.

Today, Kal’s practice is devoted to injured individuals, with a particular emphasis on motor vehicle accident claims, slip and fall claims, and other serious injuries caused by negligence. He has conducted both jury and non-jury trials and is especially committed to supporting survivors of sexual abuse. Recognizing the significant emotional and psychological impact of these cases, Kal takes a trauma-informed approach to his advocacy, offering careful, personalized representation aimed at helping clients pursue justice and fair compensation with confidence.

Kal completed his B.A. in Political Science with a double minor in Economics and Philosophy at Queen’s University in 2006. He then obtained a Canadian law degree from the University of Windsor and an American law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2010.

Beyond his work, Kal spends time with family, enjoys travelling, and is continually refining his golf game.
