Tara Callan

Tara Callan is a seasoned litigation lawyer with Preszler Injury Lawyers whose practice is shaped by years spent handling some of the most complex and high-profile cases in the country. Before joining the firm, she served as legal counsel with the British Columbia Ministry of Attorney General and articled at a major private firm, appearing before tribunals, all levels of court, and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Tara has acted in strategically significant matters, including Crown prosecutor liability cases, the Ontario mandate letter case, major PharmaCare and Ministry of Health litigation, and proceedings before the Cohen Commission and in Bennett v. British Columbia, one of the province’s earliest class action common issues trials. Her work has helped shape public law, regulatory and civil liability landscapes, and she is known for incisive analysis, careful preparation, and calm advocacy under pressure.

Before law, Tara built a strong analytical foundation working in quality assurance for software companies, at Statistics Canada, and as a research and Development Coordinator with the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Within the profession, she frequently gives back, volunteering as a Guest Judge with the Professional Legal Training Course and contributing to CBA section work over many years.
